Libertarian Party Local Conventions

on Sat, 01/07/2012 - 19:26

Unlike the big two, the Libertarian Party does not select our candidates through primaries that cost taxpayers millions of dollars. As a minor party, we select our candidates by convention. If you wish to formally affiliate with the Libertarian Party, then you MUST attend either your precinct or county convention.

NOTE: This affiliation only applies to the primary election season. IN TEXAS, you may only participate in the primary or convention of ONE political party per election year. This formal affiliation process is the key to your ability to participate in the state or national party convention process.

If you wish to attend either convention as a 'delegate' (one eligible to vote for candidates) then you MUST attend either the precinct or county convention. NOTE: It does not matter whose primaries or conventions you participate in, you may still vote for ANY candidate of your choice for the fall general elections.

WHAT:  PCT AND COUNTY CONVENTIONS

DATES:  PCT - TUESDAY MARCH 13th at 7pm, COUNTY - SATURDAY March 17th at 1pm

LOCATIONS:  TO BE ANNOUNCED

New District Maps

on Wed, 11/30/2011 - 12:11

The next district maps can be viewed on the Texas Tribune site. These new maps are from a court ruling so they may change again in the future but it is the latest information we have for now. Anyone that looks through these can see the obvious gerrymandering that goes on so politicians can treat voters like stock.

We are still looking for candidates to run in the 2012 elections so if you are considering it or have questions then please contact us.  (chair@lpbexar.org)
